What would it have been like to have witnessed the arrival of a baby who would save the world?

Join us this Advent as we journey through the classic hymn What Child is This and witness the journey and impact of the birth of Christ.

Over 5 weeks this series will explore the journey of Mary, Joseph, The Shepherd, and The Wise Man as they recount their experience with the baby Jesus.

Week 1: A shepherd recounts his experience of learning about the birth of Jesus from an angel in the field. Humbled by the invitation to meet the Christ child, he shares how his soul has been awake ever since. (Luke 2:8-20)

Week 2: When asked, “What child is this?” the wise man explains how he became part of the story of the Christ child. As he reflects, he describes how Jesus represents everything he had spent his life trying to learn and understand. (Matthew 2:1-12)

Week 3:Mary remembers what it felt like when she was told that she would be the mother of God’s Son. She shares the awe she felt watching Him lead with wisdom beyond his years, and how she thirsts for the living water that He brought to all people. (Matthew 28:1-10)

Week 4: Joseph reflects on becoming the father of Jesus. As he talks about how he wrestled with the idea that the baby would not be his own son, he beams with pride at the man Jesus was becoming. (Matthew 1:19-25)

Week 5: Five individuals wonder what it would’ve been like to have witnessed the arrival of a baby who would save the world, and stand in awe that Jesus came to be part of their lives.
